You mean those of us with Gibsons? I currently have a Gibson SG Classic with P-90s, and used to have an L6-S -- that's how I met Rex Jupiter, who has some Gibsons as well... you out there, bud?

I want a gibson sg! Right now I've only got a samick sg, which I love! I plan on buying a Gibson within a year or so, once my band hits the studio then I get one. Till then samick is fine for basement/garage play

I wish I could get them for that price, even with the exchange it'd be cheap. However, musicians friend only ships to US, so us Canadians are out

ihad a gibby sg that i bought from a hole in the wall music store back in 91. it was an awesome axe. it was blonde, set neck, 57 hums in it. it got slammed to the floor , i tripped and well, the neck snapped right off . but i got it fixed at this place called players music. they fixed it w/ 2 ton epoxy. it played better then it did when i bought it. i dont know why. but it did. no explanation. i got my G 400 vintage 2 weeks ago. it 1 bad a$$ mutha. it plays like a dream. couldnt ask for a better axe. im happier than goat w/ 2 pekers. i wont change a thing. well i did put a set of 57' humbucers in it. in which i took out of my sg in 91. i replaced them w/ a set of i believe 496r & 500t ceramic that came in my invader that i got in 85'.but im glad i still had those pu's. dont know if it made a difference, but i like it alot.

Yeah I think noeljob was talking about SGs when he said G-Men but it turned into a good thread anyway. ;D But since we are listing our Gibsons here I go. I got my one and only Gibson to date from this little guitar shop. It's a Gibson S-1 with (then) 2-57 humbuckers and the middle pup position open with some kind of filler for the hole it left. I put a Dean Markley sticker over it. ;D Hey I was 16. I traded a no name LP copy for it and the guy didn't know what he had and wanted to trade even for it but I couldn't do it, so I told him I would give him $100 and the trade so my concience would not bother me at night. I have had it ever since and would not sell it on a dare.

Hey samicksg,
You reckon you're unlucky in Canada, you want to live here in the UK !! With the advent of the net, prices have started coming down, but when I look at Musicians Friend or other US sites, I really get hacked off. I work in freight, to make things worse for me, my agent in Boston is on 20% higher salary doing the same job as me and the damned guitars are sometimes 40% cheaper ! At least you can drive across the border !!
