Cool, sounds like you really had a good time recording! By the way, yesterday I had the first rehearsal with a Blues Band that a loose friend of mine started. The other day he called and asked if I'd sing in his band, so I said alright, I'll bring my harp. So now I'm singer/harmonica player in this band. Good vibes. Nice people. Sounds like fun. And we'll be able to play some pubs and restaurants and parties about every fortnight, with around 50 euros for every member.

Thank you both for an interesting thread. Unfortunately I can't listen to the song, because my computer is f***d up, but I'll do it at a friends house later. So Geezer, did you use the Casino? JoMan, that sounds great! You have a little fun and get payed.

So Geezer, did you use the Casino? No, I went with the Ibanez Artcore AK75D I wrote about getting (back in December, I think). I also bought brushes and a new snare drum for this tune (my sons gave me a gift card from Sam Ash for Christmas). By the way, the song made its debut at #97 at SoundClick and today it's at #82 on their Rock'n'Roll chart!

JoMan, congrats on the new gig! Gettin` paid to play! Can`t beat that with a stick! What artists are you covering? Old Masters, or the newer Blues/Rock, or both? Maybe you`ll become famous. I think we'll stick with the older stuff, nothing too modern. Maybe some good old Rock'n'Roll here and there, but most of it some real smooth, laid back Blues.

Gotta love those Artcores. I've seen a few examples from the Artcore series and they're all fabulous guitars.

Ol Geezer, that is a beautiful Artcore you`ve got there. Looks like the Gibby ES 137. I had the chance to play the AF75 at a local shop and really liked it. Seemed like a lot of quality for not too much dinero.

As I wrote earlier, the one I played at the local Sam Ash sold me on it, but was pretty beat up and they had no case so I ordered one online from American Musical Supply. That one played even better, and sounds great.

I`ve been considering a new semi-hollow for a while, but I have to fight off the urge to get a Tele first!! Darned G.A.S. I did however get a new acoustic. Alvarez RF20SM. Sweet as the spring flowers, she is. Jim

Why would you fight a perfectly natural urge? How about one of those semi-hollow Teles? They're great! I've got a Mexican '69 Thinline Reissue Tele in a pretty ugly green (that I love) and it's a great Tele. A friend of mine, one of the best Jazz guitarists in town, has an American made one and it's truly magical. BUT the thing is, now I still want a "real" Tele.
