I have a chance to buy a Blues Jr. for a really good price. Under $300.00 Has anyone used them & what do you think? I have read mixed reviews on line. I only want it for praticing. I'd like to have that full tube sound.
Thanks

I have a Blues Jr that has been changed into a 2x12 combo. I am also using NOS tubes and Scumback speakers. Great sound!

It's a tad bit on the heavy side.

Hi, No I didn't get it. I couldn't make it happen. I have since fallen in love w/ the Vox AC15CC. I can't afford an AC30 but since trying out the AC15 I am losing interest in the Blues Jr. really no comparison. The Vox blows it away! Now I have to save some $$.

An AC15 doesn't suck at all...

...by all means....it's better to take your time and save your $$$$.....something else may catch your eye/ear.......
...at my local retailer there's a used Peavey 2x10 tube amp that looks interesting....but I'm not in the market.........

if you look...you can find a nice vibrochamp for less than that. PTP wiring, tremolo and its most likely to gain in value....certainly won't lose any. easy to work on and louder than you think. i've made a plug to go from my vibrchamp to my twin, their both 4 ohms and the vibrochamp at 6 watts kicks butt through the 2x12.
just a thought.
