I now have an Epi tube 10 amp! Picked up this delightful little thing in a swap shop on the same day as I scored a nice JCM800 combo. I'm gonna revalve it, but it's a sweet little travel amp!.... Anyone else here got one?

Alright! Nice scores! 10 watts of tube power must be sweet. What model is the 800?

Yes, do provide a review. I just ordered an Epi Galaxie 10 - basically the same amp from what I read. Mine should arrive in a couple of days - can't wait!
I've heard there are schematics and "hop ups" online for these amps. Mine will be getting a couple of JJ's sometime soon.

i almost picked up one of the Gal 10's myself. The price has gone down . I was curious what one would sound like through a 2x10 or 2x12. wouldn't be hard to rig it up and 10 watts is plenty. I use to own one till a powersupply went out...i just gave it to my roomate. great little amp.

A quick reply on the epiphone electar tube 10, and what I have found to work on it as far as improvements, first one was using a jensen mod 8" 8ohm speaker which I bought for 24.00u.s granted its not the original 4ohm but Im still experimenting with it but it seems to work good for it right now with out changing the output transformer. second of course is the tubes, using slovtek 6L6GC and Slovtek 12AX7WB, gives a lot more gain, or you can use the Mullard Reissue 12AX7 good harmonics you lose gain from the WB tube though so pick your poison. Still You will not get some off the charts amp but you work with what you got, I am planing on trying to find a way to improve the board, if not replacing the board with my own populated board to see if maybe epi, just got more cheap than with just the speaker, oh and the holes drilled in front of the cab for it too breath are only about 1" in diameter, on both sides lower front I thought maybe of drilling them bigger to let it breath a little better before I changed out the speaker,
So Anyhow a little rehash on the Epiphone Electar Tube 10
