Hi all, how is everyone? I have a question to put to you all. This happened to me tonight and am wondering if it was my ears or am I crazy. I was fooling with my Marshall combo earlier tonight with my 11 y/o son next to me. Using my new MXR Zack Wylde od pedal I dialed in a nasty tone that my son also said sounded really good. I shut everything down and walked away (without touching a dial or anything) with a smile on my face. Well when I came back a few hours later and simply turned everything back on and not touching a setting, I played the same guitar through the earlier setup and it sounded lousy. What gives? How many of you out there experienced something similar? Please let me know I am not going deaf! Thanks and stay safe. John

Just recently the same happened to me. For some reason I was not satisfied with my sounds and programmed new ones and thought I found some very good sounds. The next day you should have seen my face... It grew long and longer, hehehe... the sounds were total crap and I didn´t like them at all. I really wondered what the heck I did the day before. The sounds were all pretty mushy and not very useful... It´s a crazy phenomenon. Don´t worry!

yeah, i guess everybody knows this.... kinda depressing sometimes... but on the other hand you get the same thing the other way round sometimes. sometimes i come home, switch the damn thing on and it just rocks and you kind of think that's the best you've ever sounded.

Yeah! I often feel like changing my sound for a test(not right now though, I like my current sound). And if you have been messing around for about a quarter I guess you have messed up your sense of hearing. Cause very often it sounds very strange the next time.
