I've just changed my delta-blues preamp tubes (valves)for :
V1 > 12ax7 EH (Electro harmonix) V2 (od) > 12ax7M (Groove Mullard Reissue) V3 (driver) > 12ax7 (Golden Dragon)
Good lead channel - GREAT OVER-DRIVE CHANNEL
I also tried another combination:
V1 > 12ax7M (Groove Mullard Reissue) V2 > 12ax7WB (Sovtek) V3 (driver) > 12ax7 (Golden Dragon)
GREAT LEAD CHANNEL - Good OD channel (better with Sovtek than EH)
I hesitate for V1 between EH and Mullard and I think I will certainly use another 12ax7M (Groove Mullard Reissue).
But I think that Groove Mullard Reissue and Golden Dragon are best suited for V2 and V3 .
I need your advice

Each tube has it's own voice, it's fun to experiment with different tubes. Find a combination that you like.
You might want to try a 5751 in V1 for a little less gain and a bluesier tone.

Are you talking JJ or JJ/Tesla? There is a difference in the tubes.
