OK, Great. I'm sitting here looking at a 4x12 to go with one of my other amps. Damn that eBay place ;D
I have a set of Eminence Stone Henge speakers that should be here any day now.

Actually at the time I was looking at a Tweed Peavey 4x12 on eBay for $200 shipped. I waited too long and someone grabbed it up.

well, the second cab came in...the one from a converted 2x12 amp. looks like they took a peavey 5150 combo cabinet, gutted it and put a couple of eminece speakers in it. actually looks real sweet. tolex and everything is in perfect shape. they made a closed back for it and it fits real well.all neat and tight been playing it all afternoon. really like what it does to the sound. seems to split it up some. with my crate vfx5112 the speaker in it doesn't mute when connecting to another cab. i still have plety of highs coming from it. the 2x12 is giving me the low end i was looking for, giving the sound aot more....body as it were. overall i like it alot. now lol...i have the second ebay purchase i made ( i really am a sick puppy) see how the texas heats sound and which one i like better. this one looks great. i was gonna sell this one to pay for the other because i got such a good deal n this one. not too sure now.lol

chet the maple cab from steelsound came in. very well put together. very light too. i'm putting the texas heats in today. i'll give an update on how it sounds when i do. i'm thinking it should sound pretty good being solid as opposed to particle board in the other cab. the modified amp cabinet sounds good, has good lows, but i'm thinking that may be due to the closed back. combined with the 12 in the amp it sounds good together. The amp is nice and clear with the cabinet filling in the sound and giving me good deep low end. i'll decide which cab to keep. once i do a good comparison. i essentially got both 2x12's for less than $300. might have to try them together too, athough i'm not sure how to do that. get a splitter or something. i'll update too. but with the empty cab..i like it. light , built solid and more compact than i thought, with an open back.
