Gosh, this morning I checked some online stores and took a look a prices. Well, I was looking especially for a Marshall MR2203 JCM 800 100 Watts head. The re-issue model now has a "street-price" in Germay that is about 1450 Euros! ÖÖÖRKS The list price is even higher! In our former currency DM (Deutsch Marks) 1450 Euro would mean 2800 DM! When I bought the first of my old original JCM800 heads somewhen in 1990 or so it cost me 990 DM, brandnew... the second one I owned belonged to a pal and he payed 1090 DM for it a year later, he gave it to me after two years for 650 DM. Well, all in all the price for a Marshall head is about three times of what it was 15 years ago! Amazing! Besides that, all other brand name heads and cabinets have hilarious and insane high prices, too. What is this? On the other hand you can afford very decent beginner combos today, for really nice and small prices, same with low end guitars... but prices for professional equipment rise with terrific speed. Hmmm...

LOL, good idea... I wish I had both of my old JCM800 heads still. I´d sell them on Ebay and make some money... d'oh! No, to be honest, I wish I had them still and I would keep them. Selling them was probably the worst mistake I ever made.
