HI Everyone! As you might have heard, I will receive an Epi John Lennon Casino in a few days. Now as you can imagine i will be pretty protective about it, so here is my question. I have two hercules stands and one K&M wall holder (can't think of a better word for it, if there is one, just tell me...). Do you have any experiences with them? will they threaten the beautiful finish of my new guitar?
Thank You very much in advance Johannes
EDIT: IF this is the wrong forum, sorry, i just didn't know where to put it, so i thought since itis about an epi (and a pretty nice one too) i'll just put it in here

Good luck on the JL Casino.
It's your new baby right ?? Keep it close to you, a good floor stand will kep the baby safe, 'specially as you will keep picking the new arrival up constantly, safety concerns dictate that depending on the "traffic" past the baby you may need to move it out of "harms way" and use the wall hanger.
By the way, I have 3 human children and currently 7 stringed ones, level of protection is the same, the love is different !!

If nothing else you can always cover the foam padding of the stand with a soft cloth to keep it from coming into contact with your guitar...and like Chris said, you will want it close at hand whenever the urge to play strikes ;D

oh, yeah, i will definately want to have her ready to rock'n'roll at any time ... No children around (hey i'm only 18) and my sisters should be clean... and anyway, nobody hardly ever comes into my room... Yeah, I'm waiting for the call from my music store, she should be arriving this week. I'll keep you posted! Johannes

As soon as you have that lovely guitar and checked it out you should write a brief review and shoot some photos. Send it to me then and I´ll put it in the review section of www.epifriends.net

Hey JoMan...the John Lenno Casino is a beautiful guitar, best of luck with it. I prefer to keep all of my guitars in their cases, I do not even own a stand thoug many others swear by them. It is sort of a drag to keep opening and closing the cases every time I want to play but I believe in being careful and have learned from experience that bad things happen all too often. Whatever you decide, you have gotten yourself a very nice instrument!

well, thank you, but the sad truth is, i haven't got it yet! But of course I'll tell you when I do have it, I'll go to that store today and ask them if they've heard anything, but I guess they won't know before it actually ships! Anyway, it's an excuse for going down there, isn't it? especially when I shoudl be learning for my exams (for which I will be presented a lennon casino) So long Johannes

Hey JoMan...I stand corrected I hope that you do not have to wait too long to get that Casino. I am positive that you will love it when you do get your hands on it. Good luck with your exams!

thank you very much. It should be alright, though. I checked with my music store today and they had no news on my guitar. the guy said he will call the importer on monday and see if he can speed things up a little. monday will be my exams, so it would be a nice surprise to go straight to the store after passing exams, with a lennon casino waiting for you.... we'll see.

Good luck with your JL Casino, JoMan. A really awesome guitar!
I know firsthand that the anticpation for your new piece is sometimes unbearable, but it makes it much more rewarding when it finally arrives!
Must see pics in the gallery when it gets here!
