Used a MG15CD when I was first starting to play. I found that it was simple to adjust and was loud enough to bother my wife and kids. The ability to plug a CD player in to play along with is also alot of fun. I would rate it as a good beginer, or practice amp. Decided it was not loud enough and traded mine off and got a MG50DFX (still not loud enough, but will do for now)

I reccomend you go a step up to the MG30DFX. Its got a headphone jack, and a CD IN. Its got really nice tone, and it still sounds really good at lower volumes.

For the purpose of practising at home without annoying neighbours, wives, parents, kids, etc... I suggest to try the Behringer V-Amp... well, okay... it is not an amp for playing for others (it has no speakers, hehe), but if you use headphones it sounds sweet. It has also an AUX-IN for CD players, and you have so many "simulated" amps in just one little device, such a variety of sounds, effects and a real awesome speaker simulation. Check it out, it should not cost more than a little Marshall practise amp. I have one for recording and playing at home. When I play at home I use headphones all the time, because I want a certain volume level, any yes... it does sound indeed like a wall of 4x12" cabinets. Try one at a store and it´ll blow you away. ;D Looking on the price/value balance it owns the Line 6 POD easily.

The 15 also have a headphone jack, and a CD IN. I can't really afford more than that ... To be honest I can't even afford the MG15 ... It's going on the credit card lol It's just that it would be stupid to buy my Les Paul and be 2 months without an amp.

I own one- It is a fun little amp - good for practice- If you turn it up it will overdrive, possibly beyond what you may want-Used it at a picnic with some HEAVY amps in the backround, NO ONE heard me- which may have been ok- I wasn't doin too good Irish Mike
