...my one & only....
...Vox Valvetronix AD 60 VT modeling amp....
...mostly use the acoustic setting because it sounds good and doesn't hide any mistakes when practicing music lessons...it's interesting to play around with the other settings...
...mostly use the 15 watt power setting....

Woohoo! Just recently I read a test report concerning the VOX valvetronix series... It was overwhelming with very nice comments, as far as i remember they mentioned the built in effect section was designed by Korg for this VOX series. The result of the test was: a very good amp with even better price/value balance. I saw the amps in store for several times and I think I will check one out soon...

I do have a old Vox Kingston Bass amp, it's only 60 watts but it makes a better guitar amp.

...I just lucked out on this Valvetronix...Jan '03 my local retailer decided to get rid of his Vox inventory...he sold all his AD60 VT's at cost...about $470....
...it's my first amp so I can't say that's better or worst than any other amp...but I can tell you it makes lesson practice fun....
...my teacher said that I didn't need to look at the pedal/effects display in the store...since I have them built in to my amp....
...my wife and daughter are out shopping...sooo...I got to crank it up this afternoon...Whooohooo...I don't have to worry about...DAD...WILL YOU TURN THAT THING DOWN!!!!!!!!!

But this thing is a Frankenstien of an amp. It has like a 200 watt JBL PA speaker in it which would be cool if the amp could push it but it can't. No offence Dave but I would give that back to Ron before it rubs off on your good amp. ;D

For a 100 watts solidstate head it was amazingly loud and powerfull, it had a nice tone also... Your brother will love it!

I love mine to death. Even my wife likes it....but then again, she bought it for me for a wedding gift. I also run a Valvestate VS100r head/4x12 cab halfstack. Incredible sound. By far better than the current AVT stuff. Those 8100 amps were killer too. A buddy of mine had one a few years ago. I was pissed when he traded it in for some Mesa gear. Not long after that, he traded in the Mesa for a TSL half stack. Brandon Brandon

Hey Zep I recently upgraded from a Marshall MG15CD to a MG50DFX and it is plenty loud. I also have a Digitec RP100 and between the amp and pedal there is almost unlimited tones and sounds that you can produce. This amp does not take up a lot of space, or require two people to move it if needed. Going price here in Saskatchewan is around $480 Cdn.

My only amp right now (with the exception of a pignose in my car) is the Peavey Express 112. I really want to sell it for enough to get a nice 30W tube amp. I want a nice warm blues sound.

If you wanna have a nice warm blues sound I strongly recommend to check out a Laney LC30, 30 Watts tube power, 2x12" speakers... A pal of mine bought one as I bought my Laney VC50, the VC50 sounded more like a Marshall JCM800 but the LC30 was a bit alike a Vox AC30... Try one, you might love it.

This is the second forum I have been on today where the Laney VC50 has been brought up. I'm going to have to check them out.
