I have to have a Gretsch now. I'm not crazy about the T.R. But that Duo Jet blew me away.

Hows your new one, Chet? I have to have a Gretsch now. I'm not crazy about the T.R. But that Duo Jet blew me away. Mark I had a T.R. and it was just too big and bulky for me. The Duo Jet is great! At first the tone was terrible (extremely bright and brittle), but after dialing in the pole pieces and putting some decent flatwound strings on her she is a tone monster. |

the duo jet is great!
i've tried them several times, real cool guitars for about the same money you pay for a Les Paul.

you say the TR is too big....did you try the TR 6119-62. i used to have the real deal about 20 years ago and sold it. dumbest thing i've ever done. its smaller than the TR you have there and has single coils on it. i'm thinking of getting one if my tax refund is enough.
the body on them is much smaller than the TR with F holes. i loved the feel of my tennessean
