Anyone know of a replacement trem for a Squier Strat, that would be a direct drop in replacement, without surgery? The stock one I am guessing is similar to the newer standard trems.
I recently modded my Squier with GFS pickups with coil taps, and it is becoming my main tone machine, but the trem is pretty bad, particularly the screw in arm is loose, and the unit is noisy.
Any and all replies welcome, and I hoe you all are having a good summer.

Thanks Sandman, I will check Allparts. I did order a trem from GFs, and it did not fit- the posts on my guitar are too wide. Too bad- the unit had a push in arm

You'll have measure it to make sure you get one that fits. Check www.wdmusic.com and contact me if you find a match.

My original Cort Stratocaster copy had only three springs which is the reason it sounded so wimpy. Replaced the orignal strings with these new ones and transformed it into a real tone machine. Sound is now unreal and out of this world. Maybe I will try using five springs just like Clapton. Pennsylvania Health Plans | Dental Insurance PA
