I'd like to start out my 1st post in way too long to offer an "I'm sorry" for not posting here more often.
My online activities and Gear GAS have been way down due to a number of things... $$$, my wife's job loss, and a number of other things.
I've also been buisy playing in a band for teh last 15 months and my playing has improved quite a bit Im happy to say.
At any rate, my wife goes back to work this Wednesday, with a better job than she had before her layoff a month ago. 4 weeks ago, I got a promotion and a salary increase that offsets most of the household income we lost since the wife's main career was eliminated due to US trade policies (about 32 months ago).
I'm looking forward to being online more and chatting more about gear here. GAS will be on the back burner for a while as we need to replinish the nest egg that we've burned through but there are a few things..... ;D
-peace to all

Hi Gearhead, Glad to hear that you are "back on your feet" again. I know what you mean. When my wife quit her job to go back to school, my salary had to cover everything. With the mortgage, 2 kids and all the necessities of life, you have to put things in priority. Now my wife is working again in her new career since school and we're doing alot better. You'll be up and running again in no time, ready to feed that GAS attack again. Take care and good luck!

tks, guys. She was an Engineering type in Textiles. The last job that she took out of necessity was a Customer service Rep job. The business ramped up CSR staff but business did not grow. Hence the downsize. Actually, it was a blessing she was downsized again 4 week ago even though it created another cash flow bump to endure. It's lead her to a much better job and company for the long haul.
The job she just accepted takes her back into management where she belongs.
