Hi People! It's been a while since I showed you some photos of my guitars, so here are my most valued possessions for you to drool at.... ;D members.chello.at/ingrid.sawerthal/DSC00472.JPGmembers.chello.at/ingrid.sawerthal/DSC00473.JPGThey're pretty big, so if you're on a slow connection it might take time to load. What You're seeing: 1) My Fender '65 Twin Reverb Reissue I bought last year to go along with my Casino. 2) The Casino, well, I've told you about it.... my pride. 3) On top of the amp is a Gretsch Nashville I got some time this year. Gotta love it. 4) A Mexican Fender '69 Thinline Reissue Telecaster I just had to buy 'cause I got it less than half the original price. 5) Last but not least my good ole Epi Les Paul, my second electric. Not in the picture is my very first electric, a black Squier Bullet Strat, which hardly ever play these days. But that will change again. My main guitars are the Casino and the Nashville, they have the most balanced sound. The Tele is great for some stuff, but generally very sharp and cutting, especially on the bridge pickup naturally. Lots of highs. Kind of surfy sound, kinda like a Hagström. Certainly very percussive. Well, hope you like 'em, feel free to drop some comments. Johannes

Very nice stable you 've got there! I know this may blasphemy here but I especially like the Tele!
Please excuse me for asking, but I just can't help but wonder.....do you keep your prized possessions near the radiator all year round? Even though it looks like a steam radiator (which is my personal favorite type of heating system), I would be fearful of the close proximity to a source of heat. Especially if the household temp is changed throughout the day (as in the case of a programmable thermostat).

dont worry, man! just for the photo shooting!
yeah, the tele is kinda cool. i have been kepping an eye on it for over a year, but the price tag was always too high for a guitar I really didn't need, at least there were other things that seemed more important. anyway, the store decided to get rid of it. the color always kinda scared me off, but now that I have it, i think it rocks, really. it has a cool vibe.

Awesome! I wan't a casino real bad now! Regarding of what you say about the colour of the tele I can only say this: A tele isn't a very beutiful guitar (IMHO), but that doesn't matter when you hold one in your hand!

Whenever my friend gets his hands on her he says it's the best 335-like guitar he's ever played (although I would be cautious comparing the casino to a 335, they're two different pairs of shoes). However, I have never played another Casino. No Korean, no Japanese (Elitist) and no vintage ones. But she's a Lady, you know. So light, so beautiful and simple. Very original sound with the P-90s.

...A tele isn't a very beutiful guitar (IMHO), but that doesn't matter when you hold one in your hand! Right, but here's one I think is beautiful besides! I spent most of the 70s playing nothing but my (original) '69, and since getting some again I haven't been using my Epis much at all.

"alright, paula, you'll get new strings later on, but now just stand still and smile. alright, strings some of my finest polish. and the same goes for you, young tele! so, everyone ready? hey, twinnieboy, can you turn it down a little? yeah, i know it's not your fault you're so damn loud, but we have to work here." well, kids.... always making fun of everything, never capable of concentrating for long. but that's why we love them, eh? ;D

There is this special "something" with a tele. And it may be as you say, that you learn to like their looks. An ES with P-90's would really be something for me, gotta check one out... Got to love the JL ''65 Casino. The sunburst finish is great... ...and the Nashville "ain't too shabby," either! Dennis.

Geezer, that is one special tele! Is it yours (or do you just wish it was)? No, it's mine -- it was a gift from my younger son. Actually, it's my wall guitar -- the one always hanging at the ready for composing, or aiding in MIDI sequencing. In fact, I was using it just this afternoon for that purpose.
