I just found out my LP Special II was made at the Sae Jung factory in Korea. Smooth told me that the SJ in the S# told the tale. I don't know how many Special IIs were made there, maybe all of them for all I know but I do know there is something I like about mine that didn't present its self in the other Special IIs I have played. Of course I have set mine up to suit my taste, but it played sweet right out of the box. I have always liked Epi as a poor mans Gibson but once I bought a low end Epi and saw the quality in the product, even the low end ones, I was sold on the Epi brand. Ok enough endrocments. Does anyone else in the forum have an Epi made at the Sae Jung factory? And if you do what do you think of it?

Today I looked at the serial number on my special II, and found out it was also made in the SJ factory. I have to agree, they do seem different than other special IIs, they seem a bit heavier to me. The neck is really fast, and the pickups have a nice sharp tone to them. All in all, a pretty nice guitar to mess around on.
