Now that I have my G.A.S. under control after purchasing my two Hohners I know exactly what I want. This "Star" body shape is really what I always wanted. I am considering a self construction of such a guitar. The only main difference is: It will have a bolt on neck. Looking at the Warmoth site I found out they offer such bodies, and also a guy from a german board offered me help to manufacture such a body on our own. Next week I will drive over to my dealer who has lots of necks in his stock and I´ll try to find a suitable one. A maple neck with 25.5" scale, 22 frets and rosewood fretboard. Well, the body shall be made either of mahogany or maybe swamp ash. The guitar will have a Schaller 3D Bridge, only one Humbucker in the bridge position, and just only one volume control. It will be a very simple and basic guitar with no unnecassary cosmetics and electronics. The body will only be waxed and oiled. Woohoo! Any suggestions or comments?

sounds like it should be a fun project! What kind of pickup do you plan to use for it?
