After a six month stretch in the pawn shop jail, I got my old battle axe Gibson S1 out just yesturday. I didn't know how much I missed playing that guitar until I picked her up again. She needs some work (mostly wireing and new pots) but I have had her since I was 16 yrs old. Thats over 17 years. The finish is chiped, the frets need work, there is a kluson tuner on the big E and the rest are grovers, there is an open hole where a volume knob used to be (thanks to the genius who swapped out the pups for me) there is a Dean Markley sticker over the hole where there once was a middle pick up, the white paint has turned cue ball yellow and there is a crack at the cut away where it was dropped hard. But I would not sell her for any amount of money anyone in their right mind would pay.. Pictures are on the way. ;D

Sounds like you ran into an old best friend, Zac~ Can`t wait for the pics of your bestest buddy, man. Jim You got that right Jim. She is my favorite guitar out of the three for one reason, memories. Me and that guitar have made quite a few together. She is the only one of my guitars that I know well enough to name. Her name is "Ol Girl". The other two have names but not really. I call my quilt top "Blue" because its blue and my Special II "Red" because its wine red. Thats what I will call them until they tell me their real names. ;D
