Question for the masses. What is the tonal difference between say, ash...mahogany...alder. The reason I ask is Rondo has marked down their 2800DLX LP's with an ash body to $259. Seems like a nice deal on a nice LP. Just not sure what the difference would be between a mahogany or an ash. My Epi LP is made of alder and once I upgraded the pickups it sounded great. Can someone educate this old hillbilly.

Thanks Steel..not really wanting to pull the trigger for another guitar right now (actually gassing for an amp). But the price made me think about it. I've got a p-90 goldtop from them and its sweet. Almost getting the itch.
