For some reason it just does not look right to me, but I could be wrong.

After re-reading the description and it saying it is in a Charvel/Jackson case I wondered over to the Charvel/Jackson website.
IN MY OPINION: This is a Custom Order Charvel/Jackson. It has the C/J headstock, pickup options, control options, control cavity options, truss rod cover options, and Floyd Rose options. The neck bolt plate was replaced with a fender plate that has been modified, and the "Fender Strat" on the headstock is fake.

Bit of a Fernandez type of head I would say ??
They ain't so bad. but it IS NOT a fender, which could actually be an advantage.
DONT BUY OFF E BAY, just sell there !!!
GO TO THE STORE IF YOU AIN'T SURE COULD BE A BARGAIN COULD MAKE YOU SORE !!

I hate to burst all your bubbles guys but it IS A FENDER STRAT! It is a H.M. Strat manufactured in 1992 (as per the catalog I have) It is part number 125-1200. The body is basswood. The pickups are custom Dimarzio HB's and a strat SC. It was offered in 7 different colors including red and has a Floyd Rose Pro bridge and a Master Volume control and a TBX tone control. How's that!!! The picture I have of it shows the exact headstock that is on the ebay picture. I guess it was their answer to the Charvels of the late '80s.
P.S.: I save a lot of old catalogs!!!!

Certainly doesn't look like the most recent strats, but then I'm no expert concerning older instrument styles.

ExCaptain is correct. FWIW this model is made in Japan (product # 125-1200).
