Is Rondo being forced to change the open book headstock to some sort of fist looking headstock? Lucky I got an open book one before the change up, cause the fist is not so cool. villian

Rondo was responding to pressure again from Gibson. Kurt told me that they would be using the "fist" headstock on a temporary basis. He has listened to the feedback from those of us from the harmony-central forum and will be using a design silmilar to an alternative that was submitted by a forum member.
Gibson sucks. They are picking on Kurt just like they went after PRS. The jerks don't get it. Copies of "classic designs" push us to eventally want the real thing.
I hope Gibson is sued by Fender for stealing the design of the Telecaster when they "created" the Les Paul shape.

How does he have so much control over what the guitar looks like, does he have them custom made? I thought they just bought them from Korea, and sold 'em. villian

Evidently, he has a korean source for these that allows him to have some control over features due to the number he buys over the course of the year.
I know that he is getting ready to go back to Asia to work out details for the headstock design change. I'm sure that this is a buying trip for new models.
