Do you need to get your fire extinguisher checked every so often?
We've had ours for several years. I was fonduing today, so I took one of our fire extinguishers out to put by where we were cooking. I noticed that instead of fire extinguisher saying "full", it says recharge. Do I take it to the fire department for that? Also, if they sit around for several years without using them, could it say "full" and then not work when you need it? Do they work forever as long as you recharge them or is it best to replace them every so often?
