My daughter moved out and gave me her Epi SG Junior, which is a cool guitar. I put new strings on it and when I bend strings it feels like the strings are grinding into the frets. Only like the thrid to the 10th fret are like this. The only thing I can think of is that it was used so little, the top level oxidized and now that layer is wearing off. It seems the more I play it the less it's doing this. --------------------- SEO GlasgowGlasgow SEO

I always give the frets on any of my guitars a good polich when I change the strings. It's also good to clean & repolish of lemon oil (rose wood) the board at the same time cleaning the "gunge" that builds up on the frets. Hope this helps. Brasso is the finest abrasive there is & I usually use it, if really bad you might have to use FINE wire wool first but keep the resadue aways from the pick up magnets.
