i never knew any non u.s. citizens couldnt order off of mf. i guess i never read that much into it. that kinda blows. you figure they would sell to anyone. but yes if i had $400 i would definitely like to have one. thats probably the best deal around right now.

That is one sweet deal on the Kat. My friend Playtheblues from the "other" forum has one I`ve been able to play. Let me say, if i didn`t buy my LP, I sure would`ve bought the AlleyKat. What sweet sounds you can make with it.

well, guys, I tried, I treally tried but
1) The tone and volume knobs kept falling off
2) The input jack was loose after 1 hour of playing
3) Toggle switch started cutting in and out
4) volume knob scratchy
I sent the AlleyKat back home to MusiciansFriend where it belongs...
Damn. My luck. Great buy and I get a LEMON

Greetings from Texas, I bought one of the $299 -Vintage Sunburst Alleykats. Mine must have been the one Epiphone used for their catalog. It's absolutely beautiful, not a flaw anywhere on it. It sounds as good as it looks . I've had a few very fine players take it for extended "test drives"- all were impressed with it's sound, playability and , overall quality. I've had no problems with the Kat. I guess I must of gotten a good one.
Enjoy, Marc

The problems were not so essential...
