I picked up a crate vfx5112 a couple of months ago. The thing sounds incredible. Granted this is my first decent sized tube amp. I love the thing. It has an array of effects that come with it. It doesn't try to model another amp. The effects aren't anything too special..but if you want to add a touch of reverb or echo or trem. you have it. Plus..it has a vintage look that is just cool. There is one bad note on it that I have not had to deal with yet. The tubes are very deeply hidden so its suppose to be a real chore to replace tubes. All in all, especially because I got a 50 watt tube amp with effects for less than $400 shipped....this thing rocks.
