Well, if it is "only" a finish crack, I am pretty sure there´s already something more behind it or it´ll soon be. This is exactly the position where the headstock is attached to the neck (as usual on most "affordable" guitars), also the shape of the crack is typical. I won´t buy this one, to be honest. Though it is one of the beloved earlier Epis with the "open book" headstock. If the neck does break you´ll be heading for some nice expensive trouble, and also if a good luthier can repair a broken headstock (of course a good luthier can...) I would never fancy such a guitar with a repaired and previously broken neck. If something like that would happen to one of my more expensive guitars I´d surely try to rescue it and have it repaired, but I won´t buy such a guitar. Hmmm, back to the photograph from Ebay: Judging this only by a photograph is impossible. I would suggest to check the guitar in person and knock down the price at least to maximum 250,00 bucks.

Going by the blemish on the front of the head stock, I say the guitar has had a pretty good whack... And that's more than a finish crack...
