Ok ok sweet EVH yeah I get all that and yes it would be a sweet piece to own.
BUT
This brings up so many questions to my mind, and in fact I am feeling a bit "confused" ( ::hates to be confused:: ) Ok first I thought that Charvel was bought out, merged with and then finaly disolved by Jackson.?. Second isn't Ed famous for playing Kramer guitars that bare that look? Third and kind of unrelated didn't Gibson buy out and now own Kramer? Forth and very unrelated, why would Gibson buy out Kramer? Personaly I never picked up a Kramer that didn't rattle when you shook it. IMHO the only time a guitar should rattle is when you try to get your pick out of an acoustic. ;D To be fare I have only picked up a few Kramers ever. Once I pick up a name brand guitar that rattles I loose interest in that brand. But back to questions 1 - 4 can someone tell me what up?

Charvel merged with Jackson, then Jackson bought out Charvel. Wayne Charvel is making guitars again under Wayne Guitars.
My brother worked for Wayne Charvel back late 70's early 80's.

There's a hardcore Kramer fanbase, these guys know everything Kramer. www.vintagekramer.com/5150f.htmGibson/Kramer is starting to make a few 100% made in the USA Kramers again, most new kramers you see now, www.musicyo.com are made in korea in the same factories Epi's are made. Hope that answers one of your questions.

Actualy you effortlessly answered the remaining 3 questions I had. Edward is known for playing many guitars and seems to be known just as well by that style as by the Kramer name.
Yes Gibson did buy Kramer
And finaly Kramer seems to have a huge and diehard fan base and Gibson stands to make much money by picking them up. Maybe with a bit of quality control at the factory they won't rattle anymore. ;D
I do bet that Gibson ain't real happy that ol' Ed went with Charvel to put out a new line of the guitar Kramer is famous for. At least they were a limited eddition. But in the grand scheme of things I am sure its just another drop in the bucket for Gibson.
Thanks guys for clearing that up for me.

Hey Everyone! My big thing with this was, Isn't Eddie playing and endorsing Peavy/Wolfgang guitars now? If that deal is still going how would Peavy let him go with another name endorsement ie Charvell?

Good point. Looks like question #5. I guess that when you are Edward VanHalen, any guitar you touch turns to gold and any guitar maker is just happy as hell you did. Ya don't wan't to make him mad, otherwise no more endorsments.
Just my opinion.

Zac I've noticed Joe Walsh endorsing two brands of amps at the same time: Carvin and some new company he has a vested interest in....
