i just attempted to create a little more bow in the neck of my epi elitist les paul... it came loose!!!!! it didn't pop or break or suffer anything traumatic.... i guess it just ran out of threads any solutions? i know i can always go from 10's to 11's to create more bow, but i'd rather have this remedied..... can a luthier fix this, or is it just what it is......

Was the neck overbowed/too straight to begin with? That is, why exactly were/are you trying to put relief in the neck? If it is overbowed (with full string tension) to the point that the truss rod is slack then that is a covered warranty issue with Epiphone.
