Has anybody here tried it? I've heard that it will give more sustain (that is, if you lower the tailpeice) and easier bends. Will I need to drill deeper holes for the tailpeice in order to lower it, or can i just screw them down? Also, how can it give easier bends? I don't wan't the strings higher, but they shouldn't rise anything of this mod, right?
This became a bit confusing maybe, but I would appreciate advice...

Let me see if I can explain it.
First of all, no mods will be made to your guitar. Just screw in the posts more.
More Sustain is added because the tailpiece is closer to (touching) the body. More solid, more Sustain.
By wrapping over the top of the tailpiece you lessen the tension on the strings, resulting in easier bends.
However, the tailpiece was not made to be used in that fashion. The strings will mark the finish of the tailpiece. Also I have heard there is a possibility of the tailpiece collapsing due to string pressure across the top.

Thanks for your precise answer! I don't wan't to harm my guitar in any way. But it sounds tempting. Maybe I will buy a LP junior (epi, of course) to experiment with someday. Maybe I could try it on that one.
