I ran this at the Epi site and got a couple replies so lets see what yall think.
I have recently purchased a Epi Les Paul Special II Wine Red transparent w/ black hardware. I love it. I have been trying to convince Gibson to reissue the S1 or Marauder for some time now but it just aint going to happen. So anyhow Epiphone should put out a version of the Maurader or the S1. Do away with the funky pick guard and big hollow space under it and make it solid like the Invader but put the diamond or V headstock on it with updated paint scheme like on my Paul. My bet is they will sell like hot cakes.Oh yeah I almost forgot, put humbuckers in it with a tuneomatic bridge and stop bar tail piece. Basicly an Invader w/a Flying V headstock. I mean come on Epi has done some out there stuff and made them sell this shouldn't be such a big stretch. If the V headstock is too close to the Gibson product bevel it just enough to get away with it.

Can it be a S-1 is a Epiphone or Gibson Spirit? I asked about the rare Spirits on the offical forum before and got lots of replies, well I wish Epiphone would re-release the Spirit... this guitar would sell like hot cake!
