For those of us who gig, have gigged or will someday be gigging, this category should be very informative, give old pros a chance to teach and give the wanna-be sound guys the tools, training and confidence to finally say back off, I got this and push some faders. Or at the very least it may save you some money on an audio tech and teach you what basic PA you will need for a gig and how best to use it. I have been in the live sound and light business off and on for the better part of 15 years. While I am by no means a schooled audio technician or stage lighting designer, I have had my hands in both for some time. Basically I am a glorified stagehand that has had the privilege of seeing how the big dogs do it and picking up a little experience along the way. I will help you with what questions I can but what I would really like to see is the old pros chime in and teach the newbies and us middle of the road sound guys some new tricks.
