I caved in. I planned on bringing my purchasing to a halt (at least for a while) but with the fumble fingered move I pulled knocking over the Washburn, I was busy trying to justifying a new acoustic purchase and I succeeded. I'm waiting on a new Breedlove AD20/SR Plus from Music 123. They had two Not Factory Sealed in stock at a huge savings over the usual price. According to Music123, NFS is brand new, not used or reconditioned, not a second or blem, just that the factory packaging was either opened or damaged and had to be reboxed. Still carries full manufacturer warranty and Music123 45 day return policy. I figure if for some reason it doesn't pan out, I'll return it for an Epi EF-500R or EJ300S. www.breedloveguitars.com/products/guitars/atlas/ad20_sr_plus/The Washburn is at the tech shop getting a repair then will sit in his shop on consignment.

Sad to say, the Breedlove is a bust . The EB Earthwoods that I ordered with the guitar arrived this past Saturday all be their lonesome. When I checked the M123 website it showed status as complete and the tracking number stated delivered. Naturally, I called to inquire and found out that the Breedlove may not ship for a couple weeks as they are in the process of consolidating warehouses. I was told that the guitar was still at one of their "storage containers" and has yet to make it to the new warehouse for shipment. This didn't fill me with a warm and fuzzy feeling as images of 120 degree, damp and leaky storage containers danced through my head (all this with the factory packaging either damaged or gone completely). So I canceled the order and will just wait on buying a higher end acoustic when the time is right.

I feel your pain Brother. In light of the storage container excuse, I guess I would keep shopping also. Have you checked with MF for the Breedlove line? How about one of the new Timberline guitars? Jim

Jim Yes I did (on the BL) but this "open box" sort of special made this especially enticing and last I looked, MF didn't have any of them. As much as I like the BL, I can't afford to shell out a thousand greenbacks right now for an acoustic. I think I'll just look for an inexpensive replacement for the Washburn then get the guitar I really want for a graduation gift to myself (if I ever finish going to school).

WOW, thanks! I just called and I missed them by about 10 minutes (recording said closed at 7pm EST). I'm calling first thing tomorrow AM. Do you know anything about Elderly Instruments? I've not heard of them but then again, short of the big web vendors and the local shops in my area I don't know many at all. EDIT: I thoroughly checked out their website and did a few searches and they are a huge dealer and listed on the Breedlove site as an authorized dealer. So to avoid missing out on the fun, I went ahead and purchased a one year old AD/20 SR Plus from their site. THe guitar was manufactured in August of 2004 and is listed in Excellent Plus condition. THe good array of pics seem to bear that classification out. I got the guitar I wanted, only a year old for less than half of what it would be new. In short, I'm psyched and have you, Jim, to thank! Thanks again for posting that link!!!!!!!

Glad to help, Natty. Feel free to order from Elderly, I`ve done business with them for a couple of years, as have a few of my musician friends who purchased some pretty pricey items. None of us has ever had even a small complaint. It`s all good. If they rate something as "Excellent+" then that`s what I`m sure it will be. Now don`t forget, we will require a full review, and pics of your new Baby. Jim
