On the way home yesterday I stopped at a local shop to see if I could try out a couple of Epi models that I've been contemplating. Only two Epis in the whole store so my attention turned to a couple of Gibsons that were calling my name.
The first, a L4-A Rosewood.....oh baby, was that guitar nice. It had a very warm sound but to my surprise, didn't project like I thought it would. Next up was a Songrwriter Deluxe Cutaway...now THAT is the cat's meow!!!! Holy Toledo, warm, full sound and wonderful projection. I especially liked the bit of extra width on the fingerboard (1.75" nut") because I need all the help I can get when I make attempts at fingerpicking!
Why did I subject myself to this torture?

Instinct. It's just in your blood. Like a moth to a flame, kind of thing. Zac
