Hi Everyone!
Yesterday I did it! I bought my first steel string acoustic and I absolutely love it!!!!!
It is the Garrison G-40-CE, which basically means that it is Garrison's second most expensive (i think) model with cutaway and fishman pickup/preamp.
Like all Garrisons it has the Griffiths Active Bracing System (read more about it on their site!), Tusq nut and saddle and came with D'addario strings. It is all solid wood. It has a sitka spruce top (gloss finish), sapele sides and back (satin finish), mahogany neck, ebony fretboard and bridge. Abalone dot inlays, gold-plated tuners. I already mentioned the Fishman pickup/preamp, it's the Fishman Prefix and I am absolutely satisfied with it so far, very nice clear tone through my amps.
If you don't know Garrison, they're from St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada.
I had never heard about them until I went into the store and the guy there (who always shows me all the new stuff they get) showed me a cheaper Garrison model, the G-30-CE. Well, I tried it and absolutely liked it. The enxt day I went in again and he showed me two more models, the G-20-E (no cut) and the G-40-CE (which I finally bought). Well after trying them all, Id ecided that I (of course) liked the G-40 best, although I preferred the looks of the G-30. But the G-40's tone just got to me, great tone. So a few days later I went in and bought her.
If you ever come across a Garrison I really recommend you try them. I've done a lot of research on the internet in the past few days and it seems that there is hardly anyone who doesn't like them. Many people think that thay sound twice as good as you pay for it. Well, I have never played an acoustic twice as much, but I am certainly happy with my Garrison.

I'll try and post some pics tomorrow!
