hey steel, hows it going; alles gut ( hope i spelled that correctly. i am a u.s. soldier stationed in germany but not fluent in deutche. haha ) . i also have a question as to where i can purchase a bone nut that i can put directly on my 2000 LP standard without having to file. after diggin around in the site many ppl talked about stewmac.com but it's a large site and i am affraid that i will order the wrong thing. my stock nut broke when i took the last set of strings. i live in ansbach and there arent very many good guitar stores in my area. so anyway i was wondering if you could help. thnx P.S. if anyone out there knows the exact specs of the Epi LP standard nut re: back on the topic or hit me with some links of where to find them.

;D Hey hey hey... Welcome aboard Dillon. So you are in Germany and need a bone nut for your LP... Visit the site of Beyer´s Music www.beyers-musik.de , this is one of Germany´s most capable guitar shops, they are located in Cologne and in Bochum. The website is also in english language. Contact them via mail, they should be well able to communicate in english or give them a call 02327/3939 (Beyer´s in Bochum and ask for the guitar tech Daniel, if I remember right he is in the store on fridays and saturdays). They really should be able to deliver a ready bone nut that´ll suit your guitar. They are authorized Gibson and Epiphone dealers, and I swear by them... No one will touch my guitars, just this guy in their repair shop. Greetings Steele.

thnks steel, i really appreciate the link man. i put the git down about 2 yrs ago and am just starting to get reunited with it. unfortunately that led me to mod the crap out of it, or maybe thats fortunate, who knows i really never reallized how hard it is to find good afermarket parts for such an awesome guitar. well anyway danke and we'll talk soon. thnx

Not to hijack your thread Dillon, but I was wondering about nuts too. I was looking at the pre-cut Graphtech nut for my LPC and was wondering if anyone knows whether it would slip right in or require any mods, i.e., length, width, height and groove depth?
