What I also bought from Ebay is a CD with over 150 songs in mp3 format. The special thing about it is the songs are backings for soloing along to them. Played by real musicians, not converted midi styles. Real drums, a bass guitar, rhythm guitar and sometimes keyboards. On every song (all about 3 up to 6 minutes long) you have the key given, so you know what scales to use without trying around. Also unusual keys are included, hehe... lots of guitarist like to play only in E, A or D. Lots of different styles like blues, rhythm and blues, funky stuff, Santana style, metal, etc... The most of them give a short description in the name of the file, like Carlos_Csm or Yngwie_Fsm. This CD is probably the best band I ever jammed with! 
A nice thing for soloing around and get used to scale positions you use more seldom. D'oh, who writes a song in Csm? ;D The guy who sold it actually sells copied CDRs, but I don´t mind. It was cheap and it sounds fantastic! I will doodle now... ;D
