...had my music lesson earlier tonight...after last week's lesson...we decided to put the theory aside and learn a song this week....
...I brought in a cd with Bach's Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring on it and my music teacher transcribed it into my notebook....
...my wife's going to be happy...27 years ago she walked down the aisle to this piece....
...my first classical piece...if it ain't baroque...don't fix it....

I love baroque, classical, romantic, and a lot of the contemporary classical pieces, it's great for sparking a bit of creativity and fun to weave into new styled songs. Ty

Last year my brother and I had the pleasure to spend 6 hours with Bill Lawrence www.billlawrence.com at his new shop in Corona CA. Bill is not only a pickup maker but is also an accomplished guitarist. During our visit he played some Bach and Beethoven for us on the guitar. ALL I have to say is WOW!!!!!

...just got back from a men's retreat up in All Most Heaven...WV...man was it relaxing...no tv...no phones...no radio...no computers...no newspapers...if you ever get the opportunity to get away from everything...try it....
...in my free time...I was able to get the fingerpicking pretty well down...this week I won't have a music lesson...so I'll work on adding the counterpoint for the thumb position...

Sounds like fun, plucking out the melodies to songs that aren't "made" to be played on the guitar can be a lot of fun.
