I was looking for a nice used guitar to learn how to play. I found an Epi LP Custom at a shop, but it was 400.00. It sounded nice, it was pretty beat up, so I left. I told my guitarist friend about it, and he said his Epi LP standard was junk, the neck broke and all. He said not to buy one. I went to a different shop, and saw a guy at the counter with a used Epi LP standard. I had to ask if there were anymore. There was. Ebony Epi LP Custom, really (REALLY NICE) nice shape, new strings, action tuned by the shop, etc. The store guy played it, and I fell in love. 250.00 later it was mine. My guitarist friend played it. He said the quality was a million times better than his was. He said the action was perfect. He said I did well for 250.00. The head is like a new custom, same shape, same inlays, epiphone written(inlaid?) at the top, Gibson on the bolt cover. Gold hardware everywhere, Gotoh tuners. BUT, no serial number to be found anywhere on the outside of the guitar. What's the deal?

I forgot, the store guy said the guy trading it in told him it was an 89.

If you had a picture or two, it would be easier to say But if you like it, and got it for 250, it's a great deal

I don't have pics of it yet. I will, though, it's a beaut. I took off the pickguard. I vote no pickguard by the way. I'll try to find a pic of an identical one to show you. All I want to know is where I might be able to find a serial number.
