Well, after I played bass for a couple of years and having returned to the guitar again, I was asked to join a band reunion as a bass player in order to help out because bassplayers are hard to find in our area. I love bass playing very much, so I agreed and borrowed a Fender Jazz bass from our bassplayer and now I´m looking forward to the first jam session on Friday... I´ll keep you updated with news concerning my "second carreer" as a bass player in a blues rock band. Wooohoo!

Sounds cool! Good luck to ya Yeah, always nice to know more than one instrument too, and then you can be flexible and play either guitar or bass.

Go Steele go. A great bassist is usualy a frustrated guitarist in disguise. But seriously I like to play bass from time to time. I am not a bassist but I can run a bass line now and then. I really love fitting jazz , funk, or more tricky bass lines into simple blues or rock and hearing the change in dynamics of the song. As far as bass theory goes I usulay stick to "less is more" but sometimes "more is much much more" ;D

I ain´t frustrated concerning my guitar playing, bro... I like to play bass from time and I am able to record bass tracks faster and more proper than our bass player! All in all it is frustrating sometimes to play with others and spend time arguing in a band rehearsal instead of playing music...

Yeah the frustrated guitarist thing is just a tired old joke I tell too much. Not to be taken personaly. And yeah I hear ya, I had rather just put my guitar on its stand and grab a beer than to argue during practice. Arguing during practice is like pissin up a rope.
