Hi Everyone! Since there's so little activity right now, I've been trying hard to think of something to tell you and then it hit me that I never showed you anything of the stuff I do. OK, I don't really have a band of my own. For the last few months I've been involved with the band "Minze", cause their guitarist is one of my best friends, my colleague and my teacher. I am working as their backliner or roadie and helping out on backing vocals, guitar and harp here and there. I have a a video of one of their Unplugged sets at MySpace.com. I'm the guy standing, playing harp. vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&n=2&videoid=908536706EDIT: I've jsut started playing the blues on my harp about six months ago, so judge mildly....

You know, that band, they're called "Minze" which means "mint", has nothing to do with blues really. it's usually a rock abnd with all different kinds of influences, you can check out their site at www.minzeband.com. Markus, the guitarist is a real bluesman, probably the best blues guitarist I know. So sometimes he can't help bringing in some bluesy stuff. And Markus and I love some country music, we're huge Johnny Cash fans, especially the american recordings and unearthed sessions. So for their Unplugged set they wanted to find some different approaches and now we're bringing in some bluesier stuff and some country licks. Florian (the other guitarist) plays some great Mandolin, Cello, Sitar and other stuff. Markus plays a lot of Dobro. Robert the drummer swaps his big Alto Beat set for an old 1960s Ludwig, which sounds great. And they ask me to sit in and play some harp, sing some and play some guitar. It's great fun. And I'm glad you enjoyed it!
