Hey out there! What with all the non-activity on the forum, I guess Spring has sprung. I hope everyone is doing well. Jim

it is quiet around here. i've been doing nothing but buying and playing. sold a bunch of stuff and bought new..or new to me....i'm like a junkie just picked this up....thinking of playing it for awhile and reselling it.....what i really want is a deluxe reverb....not a reissue. cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7416764124&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1In the past four months i've sold two amps crate vfx5112 (which is a great amp) and a crate V15 with a tone tubby in it. I've picked up a fender virbochamp which is the sweetest little tone machine i've ever heard, which prompted me to buy a twin reverb which is mor than i will ever need...hell never get to crank it up very good unless i just need the police quickly. which is why i'm thinking of a deluxe reverb...or maybe a princeton...but i think the deluxe would have the better reverb and trem. but this little thing might be fun for awhile..some nice crunch

......guess I'm just beating a dead horse.............. Let's go with a glass half full viewpoint: figure everyone's happy with their current gear situation and/or are busy right now... I haven't even had the chance to plug in my new 60th Anniversary Strat!

60th Anniversary? American? Mexican? Is it as good as it looks? By the way I bought a Strat, I just had. The other day a guy walked into our shop and gave us this niiiiiiiiice 70s Strat, natural finish, maple neck, great looking, great sounding, on consignment. Just had to buy it.

Congrats on your new-to-you Strat! My 60th Anniversary model was made in Mexico, and is easily as good as -- or better than -- it appears in the catalogs. It feels really solid and came set up perfectly; the neck is great playing and looks awesome with the tint. I passed on the 50th Anniversary ones, but fell for this edition.

...I was in a shop that specialized in vintage guitars the other day.....under the glass counter was Sea Green (light green) Strat.....don't know what year.....the guy that ran the place said it's price was $190,000........can't imagine holding something like that...little lone playing it.....scratch it and your investment just lost $5,000..........that's nuts.........
