just for the record: I am actually Left handed, I just play guitar the so called Right way, which is probably the Wrong way, but still feels quite Right to me. hope that's alRight with everybody. And I hope you dont feel Left alone - even though you have every Right to - if I'll stay here with the Wrong/Left-minded Right-handed pretending to be one of them. Am I Right?

I know that this is probably a topic for the lefty forum, but:
Left handers are anywhere between 10-15% of the population, but I had read that only 2-3% of all guitars sold are lefty (a 1:5 ratio), which means:
-every right-handed guitarist owns five guitars on the average, while a lefty owns only one (probably not true).
-right handers are more musically inclined and are therefore more interested in playing the guitar, while left handers, in general, have little or no interest whatsoever in playing the guitar (also probably not true).
-the "guitar culture" (professionals, teachers, manufacturers) have done everything to discourage a left-hander from learning and playing an instrument designed for them. Sadly, left-handers have inadvertently contributed to perpetuating the situation by not buying the left-handed guitars available (re-stringing RH ones) and/or learning to play right-handed out of frustration and pressure. If every true left-hander refused to "go righty", it would create a demand five times of what it currently is-a market that manufacturers could no longer ignore.
Whew...I feel better now.

Dennis, I don`t think the world is out to get you Lefties, it`s just that the majority of the global population happens to be right handed. Who`da thunk!!! LoL. Best of luck to the lefty forum, guys! Jim
