In our band, we never have any problems finding fast and rocking songs for our cover band. We play a variety of old classic rock all the way to todays tunes. But, we tend to not pick the slower tunes.
What recommendations would you make for great slow tunes...maybe a few power ballads, etc. for a band?
I should add, the reason I ask, is to find the real crowd pleasers, the slow songs that make the girls go "ohhhh" and wont make us in the band sick:)
This could be a fun topic.

How about the ballad version of Bon Jovi´s "It´s my life"? If you ain´t got no keyboard you can easily play it on an acoustic guitar... ;D Me and my band will give it a try soon.

OR you can do my favourite. A night in the life of a blues singer with Phil Lynott and Gary Moore. If you play it with some heavy distortion but keep the slowness, youre gonna get a huge kick on the solo! I get tears in my eyes when I do it...

A brilliant song... but how about Thin Lizzy´s "Still in love with you"?
