Just got home from a gig, and I can´t be happier. We had a long break without gigs due to numerous line up changes (it was the first gig since 1 1/2 years). Our female lead singer who debuted tonite did a pretty nice performance, everything went well... And what is most amazing we played at a festival that had lots of younger bands on the billing who played trendy music, and then we came, guys in their mid and late 30´s (except from our female singer), but we were celebrated and well appreciated with our old fashioned 80´s rock. Now I believe rock'n'roll isn´t dead. Handcrafted, melodic music with nice soloing will never be out of fashion. ;D 18 years old were headbanging to an old Alice Cooper song, even Rainbow´s "Man on the silver mountain" (from the mid 70´s, lol) was a song that made the young crowd do some serious headbanging. What could be nicer... I am dead tired but satisfied, ... I´m going to bed now...

Normally I wouldn´t play a new guitar on a gig after such a short time having it, but these guitars feel so perfect, as if made for my hands, I needed no time to get used to it. I took it up and it felt like I´ve been playing this guitar since years. That´s exactly the reason why I bought a second one of those. I fits like a glove...

Sounds like it was a great gig. It is always great to have the axes you love at the right gig. Keep on bending those strings and stunning the crowd brother.
Lord knows I am dieing for another gig.
The last gig I had was back in Aug. I went way out in the sticks with my dad's band and 2 other bands that we know that were local to the area(kind of). I say kind of because there was not much of an area to be local to. ;D A little spot in the road called Shive Texas pop.345 The other 2 bands were from surounding small towns that I spent alot of my childhood growing up in. Well anyway it was mostly friends and family plus the locals. We got rent of the comunity center for a grand total of $50.00. It was small but it had a stage and held maybe 150 if it was packed. It was the first time I had my new quilt top on stage and it was great. Sometimes even small gigs can be big fun.
