Hey all. The Mrs. and I are off to sunny Florida on a relocation blitz. Kissimmee to be exact. We moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina 2 years ago, from upstate New York. (trying to escape some of the extreme cold) The Winter weather was not as pleasant as the Chamber of Commerce would have everyone believe. Do we have any members in the Kissimmee area? Give a shout. Well, it`s time to pack up the computer. I`ll check back in a few days. In the meantime, peace, out. Jim

...upstate NY...that's a NYC term for anything north of New Rochelle/Westchester Co....... ;D.......
...can't be as far north as Chateaugay...locals refer to that as "northern" NY................
...I stopped just below the Mason-Dixon Line in MD in my flight from the snow...............
...good luck in Florida.............

;DThe guitar goes where I goes!!!! This will be a permanent move for us Chris, so everything goes.
Upstate (forgive me) should have read Up N-o-r-t-h. Clifton Park to be exact. Just above Albany, about half-way to Saratoga Springs. Isn`t Chateaugay in the Finger Lakes Region? Nice country out there, but too D**n snowy for me. I`m a hockey nut, so the only thing snow is, is a major pain in the A**, that has to be shoveled off the ponds. Now I`m disabled, so no hockey playing for me any longer. I did manage to play in various leagues until I got hurt 10 years ago.

...just hope you know what you're doin'...New York is to snow/cold in the winter as Florida is to heat in the summer...guess there are ocean breezes and cooling showers...at least you won't be dealing with 90+ inches of snow like they do in Oswego............
...here in this swamp we call our Capital...I refer to myself as a southern-fried Yankee...carpetbagger...take your pick.......................
...No...Chateaugay is not in the Finger Lakes...you're probably confusing it with Chautaugua...Chenango...etc..........
...Chateaugay is waaayyyy up north...above the Adirondacks...just below the Quebec border...northeast of Malone................

Clifton Park NY is a nice area. I've spent alot of time there over the years. I have relatives who live there and it was a good excuse to drive up there from Long Island just to go hang out in Saratoga Springs. I'm sure you will miss it. It's great in the fall. Good luck down south!
