Evening all
Summer finally arrived on a special day for me, my Mum and Dad's 50th wedding anniversary, had a garden party at their home, both in their early 70's but still cool.
Took the Dot along and a little Fender Frontman 10 watt amp. Have had a wonderful afternoon playing and singing along to the songs me and my brother & sister grew up listening to through the sixties, the stuff I liked in the 70's and 80's. (My French aunt singing along to a hard days night after 2 bottles of Chablis most amusing !!).
Best part though, and I know I have said I hate playing the stuff.... was when we did the current stuff Blink 182, Limp Bizkit etc etc and all my folks grand children really gave it up big time, seeing 5 & 6 yr old kids leaping about singing along to my playing was mega uplifting, the look on my folks faces was something I will remember forever.
Some days are simply just magical
All the best to you all

I had a really great day yesterday, I spent it all at the golf course. Warmed up on the driving range for about an hour, then spent the rest of the day playing 18 holes. I shot a 79 on a par 72, which is respectable

Hehe, Chris, sounds really as if you had a nice day with your family. And yes, I can imagine the look on your folks faces... lol, maybe you should have played some AC/DC stuff... some additional headbanging would have been some extra fun, oh, I forgot nowaday´s kids don´t know much about headbanging and AC/DC... ;D Sadly enough my family (parents) never showed much interest in my guitarplaying and my being as a musician. All they still do is blame rock'n'roll and long hair to be responsible for keeping me away from being "adult" and making a career in a respected job... But so be it...
