ok...I know I'm strange...but in being so it causes me to wonder. I know all of us walk around the house while practicing...how many of you find yourself playing in the bathroom an inordinate amount of time because the acoustics are always better there...makes any guitar sound good...ok....fess up...lmao

My bathroom is too small to play in. But this does bring to mind a personal quirk I have discovered. When practicing alone I have noticed that I mindlessly seem to travel in a clockwise circle. I don't really remember doing so but it must be true because my chord becomes wound up and I have to unplug and unwind. When the rest of the band is there I don't do that. It may be because there is not enough room to walk in circles or maybe I am focussing on the others playing. But whatever it is I think its kinda wierd. Does anyone else exhibit this behavior when practicing alone?
p.s. Hey Chet I love your Joe Walsh quote. The song in question must be Life's Been Good to Me So Far.

Hey Sandman...yeah, I used to play in the bathroom all of the time because I really liked the sound I got, especially with my acoustic guitar. Don't do it much now because I share the house with my wife and 2 teenage boys and the bathrooms are in great demand around here. Hey Zak...did not move around too much in my old band days as I also did the singing and needed to stay in front of the mic most of the time. However, I did manage to sort of sidestep back and forth during instrumental breaks sometimes. Nothing like you are describing though!

Man I wanted to go to that Crossroads thing so bad, but I was nearly broke and scheduled to work every day of the festival. R M H and L B G t m S F are 2 of my all time favorites. I bet he has worn down some frets playing both of those songs. wierdsly. I don't think I do the circle thing when others are around, only when I play alone, which makes it even stranger if you think about it. lol p.s. It's not a constant or fast circular progression or surely I would notice it. But it seems rather that I just kind of migrate in a clockwise circle. And over the period of a half hour or so then I notice my chord is all wound up.

My ISP (SBC/Yahoo) actually did a webcast of it, so I booted up my laptop and sat through 11 hours of great music right in the comfort of my own home.
By the way, according to an article I read The Crossroads Guitar Festival is supposed to be on PPV sometime in July. So keep an eye on your local listings.
