Morning !!
1041 Saturday morning in Dover, raining again, got to work for another few hours !
Any of you guys play instruments other than the guitar ?
The reason I ask is that I am reasonably proficient with the old axe, so I assume I have a good ear, sense of rhythm & time etc etc.
Messing around with the band and mates I have tried drums, keyboards and I am completely and utterly useless, our drummer reckons I could try for a year and not have a hope in hell of keeping time or developing any co-ordination which is essential in his trade, but it is important in mine too, so where's the problem.
Just wondering if any of you guys are a "One Man" 5 piece band !!

I use to play bass guitar and some keyboards...  I wish I could play the drums. Drums to me are the most fascinating intrument.  |

Hmm, I have an old keyboard here somewhere.. A cheap Casio. And I had a Pearl drumkit when I was a kid, but I sold it when I turned 15 or something (regret it now though..)..

i used to play the trumpet, i can play a few chords on piano (but then, who can't?) and I torture some harps (you know, harmonica)...

So it seems that we don't have anyone who can hang around malls and annoy the hell out of passers by doing a one man band with guitar, drums, harmonica trumpet etc.
That's good to know !!!
I have only tried "busking" once, you know playing to get donations or coins thrown at you !! That was a few years ago in the town centre trying to raise money for my daughters school to get a new mini bus !! Being in Dover we get a heck of a lot of foreign tourists, this was lucky coz the locals didn't give us much which was a shame, but the day was saved by a coach load of japanese tourists who not only wanted to take photo's of us but kept donating money for every number, I guess they must have thought they had to pay for the torture !!
you ever seen any of their "game" shows !!

Chris - UK Last year I went on a class trip to Washington D.C, and we stoped at a gift shop in some museum, and I saw a harmonica and decided to buy it. Then I went outside and started "busking" on the sidewalk with the little box that it came in, and i made $5 in change! ;D |

If it counts, I play my vocal cords really well....Im the singer in my band. Dont mean to dissapoint you guys but Im not the lead guitar, or rythm....Think Sammy Hagar on this one  Also I can play; Harmonica Drums |

besides guitar i play drums and bass. got a harp (harmonica) a few months ago im still trying to figure that out. its going ok.

Well, since we have no more keyboards in our band it is up to me and to our new female rhythm guitar player to play some keyboards there and where in some song intros... That means I have to practise that again some more... ;D  |
