In the rare and vintage gallery the first 5 pictures are of vintage/rare gibsons... But their lying on concrete! Wouldn't that like scrap up the finish on the sides and the tuners?

Not if you just gently lay it down on the concrete. Unless you throw it down, or feel like grinding it against the concrete, no harm is done

Well, if you ask me... in my book every guitar deserves a stand or a wall hanger, I´d never expose a guitar to a concrete floor, especially not outside in a court... If you want to take photographs of your guitar and want daylight, take it out in your garden and use a guitar stand... or lay it on a soft cloth, or even better use a case and show your guitar in the open case. I agree with Uriah, I don´t consider it as "decent" for a guitar to be on a concrete floor...

yeah, probably not the best way to treat rare/vintage instruments that aren't easily replaceable...unless you are going for that worn, used look ;D
