How about Clapton getting close to $1 million for Blackie? That's a lot of money Wonder what Page could have gotten for his #1..

It´s a nice idea when celebs sell instruments for charity. When those who can really afford buy such a guitar it´s okay... I won´t buy an instrument only for this reason. A guitar remains still a piece of wood no matter who played it before. I am not into "cult of personality", oh yes, I really love Malmsteen, but what use would make such a Fender Strat previously played by the master himself for me? I would struggle along with the axe, fighting for each note on that Fender-typical scale, it would not suit my ideas of how a guitar should sound, etc. ... Our drummer owns a drum set that he bought from Ex Scorpions Drummer Herman Rarebell, so he plays now a set in our band that was on the 1993 European tour with the Scorps, but what the heck... to me it is an ordinary drum set, not an object to admire only for this reason... it´s is only a well made, high quality and custom drumset.
